HIGH DEFINITION VISION
Lens and blue light
Visible light is broken down into wavelengths from blue to red. Some of these wavelengths are harmful to our eyes. This is the blue light emitted by natural sources as well as by artificial sources (LEDs, digital tools).
Exposure to blue light carries a risk of excess mortality of the cells of the retina in the long term. It is one of the precursor mechanisms of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Conscious of this risk, lens makers improved new materials and a new type of anti-reflective treatment to protect your eyes in all circumstances.
Do not hesitate to ask your optician for some advices.
