UNE VISION HAUTE DEFINITION
Presbyopia and visual fatigue
As years go by, the ability of the eyes to focus tends to diminish making near vision uncomfortable. Visual fatigue and headache are symptomatic of it.
This purely physiological phenomenon is due to the ageing of the eye’s lens which, over time, gets thicker and loses of its flexibility. People in their early 40’s may experience the first signs of presbyopia regardless of their myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism.
While the use of progressive lenses may seem daunting, ophthalmic lenses suppliers have come up with transitional solutions for young presbyopes.
The lower part of the lens has an additional power that makes near vision clearer, shaper and comfortable. Unlike traditional single-focal lenses, this technology improves young presbyopes’s visual performance and turns out to be a smooth transition to progressive lenses.
