HIGH DEFINITION VISION
URBAKA festival in Limoges
Created in the 90’s, by the actress and director Andrée Eyrolle, the Urbaka Cristi association organizes, in Limoges, the 26th street performing arts festival : URBAKA
From the perspective of appropriation of public space, the association claims a political and artistic process. Urbaka invests the space where people live daily to circulate and meet humans.
Multidisciplinary, the festival receives annually national and international professional companies from theater, music, song or dance. Poetic, tragic or burlesque, companies occupy the streets of Limoges and neighboring towns for 3 days.
